The ability of CyberKnife® to track the tumour during treatment and so concentrate the dosage more precisely on the tumour reduces damage to adjacent health tissue and side effects from treatment.  CyberKnife treatments for liver cancer are still relatively recent and different centres may take different approaches.
Individual CyberKnife centres may adopt slightly different approaches to which cases they will treat and how they will treat them, including how many treatment sessions are required.
